How it works:
Having a non-exclusive contract with LSH provides easy access to our services. This is normally how it works:**
REQUESTING AN INTERPRETER
Some language interpreters are very busy, so the earlier ahead you book an interpreter, the better, but we do accept requests any time of the day.
LSH prefers all requests to be emailed or faxed, and if urgent, then followed up with a phone call.
-
Request an interpreter with the following information
-
Language needed
-
Date & Start time
-
Length of time needed
(1 hour minimum; 2 hour minimum for locations beyond a 10-mile radius and simultaneous interpreting)
-
Name of client (to avoid potential conflicts of interest)
-
Name & contact of interviewer/doctor/person to check in with
-
LSH confirms assignment of interpreter and emails/faxes out a Timesheet with interpreter's name and contact info, as well as assignment details.
-
Agency staff signs interpreter in and signs them out at the appointment.
-
LSH emails invoice
BILLING
Upon received a completed timesheet, LSH will email or mail out an invoice for services rendered. LSH can receive checks, credit cards, purchase orders and P-cards.
REQUESTING A TRANSLATION
Upon reviewing of a document, LSH will issue a quote for translation based on the number of words, formatting (if any), and the level and complexity of the language. If accepted, LSH will then begin the translation process. All translations have a time for which requested changes are allowed. |
